GENERAL OBJECTIVES
Trained manpower is a prerequisite to economic development. To a developing country like the Philippines, adequate manpower is an invaluable asset. Although the country still basically has an agrarian economy, it is moving towards industrialization and expansion of its trade and commerce, both domestic and foreign.
The College of Commerce & Accountancy, desirous to contribute to share in the growth and progress of the country, aims to provide the kind of business education that will prepare the youth to assume their share of responsibilities in nation building.
However, the College believes that technical and professional training alone is not sufficient. It therefore strives to imbue its students with a sense of moral and spiritual responsibility in consonance with the philosophy and objectives of the University.

Specifically, the College seeks:
- To train students in the following fields of business – Accounting, Management, Marketing, Management Accounting & Entrepreneurship.
- To develop students not only professionally but also spiritually, socially and physically.

ADMISSION AND RETENTION POLICIES FOR B.S.C.
- ADMISSION
- IN-COMING FIRST YEAR
- High School Report Card - BSC Average of 80%
- Certificate of Good Moral Character (signed by principal or Guidance Counselor)
- Pictures
- Two (2) “2x2” colored pictures
- For I.D. – Two (2) “1x1½” colored pictures
- For Library Card - Two (2) “1x1½” colored pictures
- Certificate of Live Birth (2 pcs. - Xerox copy)
- Placement test results - A score of 40 in English & 21 in Math
- TRANSFEREES
- Honorable Dismissal
- Copy of Transcript of Records
- Certificate of Good Moral Character
- Same as No. III above (re: pictures)
- Certificate of Live Birth (2 pcs. – Xerox copy)
- RETENTION
- Students with full load and who incur a grade of 5.0 or failed equivalent to 9 units or 3 subjects with 3 units credit accumulated during his stay in the College will not be admitted any more to this College.
- Two grades of “Dropped” or “Withdraw” will be counted as “one” failing grade.

ADMISSION AND RETENTION POLICIES FOR B.S.A.
- ADMISSION
- In-coming First Year
- General average of at least 85%
- A score in placement test of 40 in English and 25 in Math
- Transferees
- Only in-coming Second Year BSC and BSA students shall be admitted to the BSA program.
- A student must have a grade of at least 85% or its equivalent in basic accounting (Single Proprietorship, Partnership and Corporation) with no grade below 80% in all other subjects.
- He/she must pass the qualifying and comprehensive examination in basic Accounting and must obtain, at least 70% of the total raw scores.
- BSA as a Second Course
- Graduates of any course, except BSC or BSC Management Accounting, are exempt form the admission requirements for the incoming First Year but they are covered by the BSA retention policies.
- BSC and BSC Management Accounting graduates shall retake all Accounting subjects except Accounting 101 and Accounting 102 provided a general average of 85% is obtained with no grade below 83% in these two subjects.
- RETENTION
- A student who obtains a grade of 60% or failed in any accounting Taxation and Business Law subjects shall no longer be admitted in the Accountancy Program.
- A student who fails in 3 other units credit accumulated during his/her stay in the Department, shall not likewise, be admitted in the Department.
- Two grades of dropped or withdrawn in any subjects aside for Accounting, Taxation and Business Law shall be counted as one failing grade.
- For incoming Second Year, a student shall, at least obtain an average of 85% in Accounting 101 and Accounting 102 with no grade below 83% in these two subjects.
- For incoming Third Year, a student shall at least general average of 87% in Accounting 103A, Accounting 104A and Accounting 105 with no grade below 85% in any of these subjects.
- For incoming Fourth Year, a student shall, at least, obtain a grade of 85% in Accounting 107, Accounting 108 A, Accounting 108B and Accounting 109.
- Students who cannot meet the retention requirements Nos. 4 to 6 shall transfer to BSC or BSC Management Accounting Programs.
