The Elementary Department has been granted Level II Five-Year re-accredited status (clean slate) after a re-survey visit on October 9-10, 2014 by the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges, and Universities (PAASCU). This is the second time in a row that department received the said level status. PAASCU has found the Elementary Department meeting high standards in the areas of faculty and administrative staff, instruction, physical facilities, and library. WITH a rating of 90.40%, Genessa A. Buenafe, a fresh graduate of the College of Pharmacy and Medical Technology, earned the third spot in the September 2014 licensure examination for Medical Technologists administered by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).
Meanwhile, the University achieved the 96.59% overall passing rate with 83 new Augustinian Medical Technologists. The excellent performance of Buenafe and her co- examinees also earns the University the distinction as the 7th Top Performing School in the Philippines
for this board examination evidenced by a Plaque of Recognition awarded by PRC on October 25, 2014.

As part of the Patron Saint's Day 2014 week-long celebration, the University of San Agustin Cyclist Club, with interim President, Dr. John Inocentes, sponsored Bike Ride for a Cause last August 30, 2014.
The Bike Ride started from the USA grounds on a sunny Saturday morning despite threats of rain from days earlier. Bikers from all over Iloilo City, sporting colorful cycling attires, joined the activity which kicked off at 6AM with a short program emceed by Mr. Demosthenes Toledo, USA Sports Director. A welcome message was delivered by USA President, Rev. Fr. Frederick C. Comendador, OSA, who also led the Bike Ride along with Rev. Fr. The University of San Agustin in Iloilo City will host the University Games (UniGames) on October 20 to 28, 2014.
UniGames president Roger Banzuela said they are finalizing the playing venues and invitations to different private and government colleges and universities in the country for the annual games’ 19th edition.
This year’s UniGames is supposed to be hosted by Foundation University of Dumaguete City but it begged off due to lack of billeting and playing venues.
Six more private schools may join starting this year, Banzuela added.
The new participants include Arellano University, Philippine Normal University, Wesleyan University in Nueva Ecija, St. Joseph College of Bulacan, San Pedro College of Davao, and Philippine state College of Aeronautics of Pasay City.
Thirteen sports events are tentatively scheduled for the competition, including athletics, badminton, basketball, chess, football, karatedo, lawn tennis, sepak takraw, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, volleyball and beach volleyball. (PNA)

The University of San Agustin College of Law, founded on 1939, commemorates its 75th Year Anniversary this 2014. In celebration thereof, the College and its Alumni Association have organized various activities for its alumni and students every Saturday for the entire month of August.
To launch the month-long celebration, an exhibit was put up by the College at SM City Iloilo last July 27, - August 1, 2014, showcasing the College’s history and distinguished alumni. The exhibit has now been transferred to the Iloilo Hall of Justice.
On the first Saturday (August 2), over four hundred students, alumni, and participants joined the Diamond Run, including Iloilo City Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog. After the Fun Run, a mass was held at the USA Extension Campus in Sambag, Jaro, followed by “Laro ng Lahi” traditional Filipino games and Alumni vs. Students sporting events in the afternoon.Read more: USA College of Law Celebrates Diamond Anniversary
