Augustinians join Dinagyang '03

AUGUSTINIAN colors of Red and Gold adorned once again the streets of Iloilo City when the University of San Agustin community joined Kasadyahan 2003 last January 25 of this year's Dinagyang Festival. This Kasadyahan 2003 participation marked the Opening Salvo of the USA Centennial Celebration come 2004.

3 grads top board exams

UNIVERSITY of San Agustin graduates Lloyd Rivas and Joey Hallasgo placed 16th and 19th, respectively in the Civil Engineering Board Exam given last November 2002, while Jehan Calvo placed 17th in the Nursing Licensure Examination last December 2002.

CAS, PMT get PAASCU reaccreditation

THE USA College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) and the College of Pharmacy and Medical Technology (PMT) was granted reaccreditation for a period of five years by the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU) last December 2002.

Fabrigar, Geonigo lead service awardees

VENERANDA F. Fabrigar and Anita G. Geonigo led the Service Awardees for the Year 2003 in a formal awarding ceremony last February 22, 2003 at the Amigo Terrace Hotel Coral Ballroom. The two were recognized for their 45 years of service rendered to the University of San Agustin.

San Agustin celebrates U-day and golden jubilee

LAST 28th of February and 1st day of March this year, the University of San Agustin (USA) celebrated its University Day and the 50th anniversary of its university-hood, respectively. The week-long double celebration started on February 22 and culminated on March 1, 2003.

THIS year, the University of San Agustin Band celebrated its 50th anniversary. The Golden Jubilee Celebrations was launched on March 7, 2003 through a concert that was held at the USA Mendel Park at 5:00 o'clock in the afternoon.

The University of San Agustin (USA) hosted the Western Visayas Theater Festival and Conference last February 19 to 22. This project was spearheaded by the USA, the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) and Teatrokon ­ the Western Visayas Theater Network ­ in celebration of the National Arts Month.
