CEIR director, coordinator attend confabs
THE newly appointed director of CEIR and the coordinator of MISTeR attended a series of conferences in line with the center’s aim to establish networks towards quality research and evaluation.
Prof. Judith M. Fresnido, set to start holding office as director of the Center for Educational and Institutional Research in June, attended the 15th PSERE National Convention held at the Centro Escolar University, Manila on 24-25 May.

CEIR coordinator conducts training for med techs
The University shared its knowledge resource with the bigger community through the extension work of Prof. Lerma Paris just recently.Paris was invited as resource person in 2 lecture-workshops on “Intestinal Parasite Diagnosis: Current Issues and Concerns”conducted for medical technologists on 3 and10 March (Part I) and on 26 May and 2 June(Part II).

MISTeR coordinator gets recognition
Prof. Lerma L. Paris, coordinator of the Mendel Institute for Science and Technology Research (MISTeR), was awarded a medal of recognition as a PCHRD completed scholar during a formal ceremony held on 16 March.

CEIR gets new director
Prof. Judith M. Fresnido, english and literature teacher, was appointed director of the Center for Educational and Institutional Research (CEIR)effective 01 June 2007. The new director envisions to develop the culture of research as a way of life in the academe.
Fresnido believes that “the purpose of CEIR is to stir the interest, and empower the different sectors in the University to do independent researches and internalize the value of the search for knowledge.”

Master’s degree in Nursing required of ORDR clinical instructors
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), through Memorandum Circular No. 2007-03, issued Resolution No. 09, series of 2007, required Operating Room (OR) and Delivery Room (DR)Clinical Instructors to fulfill the program of study at the master’s degree level, be it in the field of education or other allied medical and health sciences.
